Text Box: Ok, so you have your provisional driving licence. (If not then click here for information on how to get one). Now you need to find a driving instructor. Your Drive Sunderland instructor is trained, qualified and licensed to give instruction and the car is insured for this purpose. The instructor also has professional and personal liability insurance for your protection. As we like our customers to be happy with the instruction that they receive we offer a mini beginners’ driving course of 5 lessons at a discounted price. (See prices below) Here we explain the basics and the controls before we start you driving on quiet streets. A complimentary copy of “The Highway Code” is included in this course.

Beginners’ Driving Courses
Text Box: When you have completed your beginners’ course you can move on to the next stage. Or, perhaps you have had some driving lessons before with a friend, relative, family member or with another driving instructor, and, you wish to restart your driving lessons or change driving instructor. For learners with some previous driving experience Drive Sunderland will offer you an assessment driving lesson at a discounted price (see prices below). You can continue on a pay per lesson basis or by purchasing a block of driving lessons and benefiting from further discounts. If you need one, a complimentary driving theory and hazard perception cd rom is included in this course.* *Terms and conditions apply.

Intermediate Driving Courses
Text Box: Holders of overseas driving licences are particularly welcome. Whether you want to take a few lessons to become familiar with British roads and driving regulations or whether you want to work towards passing the UK Driving test, then Drive Sunderland has the driving course for you. To do this you will need a national driving licence from your home or another country which gives you an entitlement to drive in the UK or an UK provisional driving licence (For information click here). Both of these driving courses include a complimentary copy of the Highway Code.

Driver training Courses for Holders of Overseas Licences
Text Box: After you have passed your driving test then why not take the pass plus course which will increase your confidence on the road, reduce your chances of an accident while driving, and may qualify you for reductions in your motor insurance premiums. If you have not driven some time then a similar refresher driving course is offered. (Without the award of a certificate. Insurance discounts will not apply) The course involves driving on different types of roads both during the day and at night for at least 6 hours (some topics may only be covered in theory). There is no test and you only have to show that you can drive to the required standard and have some understanding of the topics covered. For More information click here
